Mr Manh said that economic restructuring aims to make the most of potential and strength of each locality by encouraging people and cadres to promote their creativeness.

The Party and State always create favorable conditions for people to strike gold in their native homeland. The final target of economic restructuring is to bring a better life to people, thus gradually narrowing the gap between rural and urban areas. The responsibility belongs to the local Party organisation and administration, Mr Manh noted.

The Party leader praised the tremendous achievements in socio-economic development recorded by Phu Tho in recent times, saying that the province has been on the right track for agricultural and rural development.

The province has formed concentrated production areas while attaching industry to agriculture, through effective zoning of processing establishments near material producing areas. In addition, Phu Tho has focused on intensifying urban planning, shifting labour structure, providing vocational training and developing handicraft villages and industrial clusters.

During his stay in Phu Tho province, Party leader Manh visited and talked to officers and soldiers of the Military zone No 2. Mr Manh said the armed forces are garrisoned in a key strategic region inhabited by different ethnic groups. This is where the hostile forces want to sow division among people, and undermine the great unity bloc. To fulfill its tasks, the military zone No 2 should continue studying and implementing the party resolutions well while closely co-ordinating with local authorities in the fight against the hostile forces’ schemes in order to maintain political stability and protect national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. It is imperative to ensure the successful election of deputies to the 12^th National Assembly in the locality.
