Party leader attends military parade marking 80 years of Victory over Fascism in Kazakhstan
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory over Fascism in Astana on May 7 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

The parade began at 11 a.m at Independence Square, near the Kazakh Eli monument in Astana, marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory . This is the first parade held after a five-year hiatus since 2019.
This year’s event featured more than 4,000 troops in 24 marching formations, including over 200 female soldiers. Key military forces included the Ground Force, Air Force, Navy, and Special Forces. Over 300 pieces of modern military equipment were also on display.
The aerial display involved around 70 aircraft and helicopters from Kazakhstan’s Air Force and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The parade was broadcast live on Kazakhstan’s national television, public LED screens in major cities, and the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of Defense.
More than 1.3 million Kazakhs served in the Soviet Red Army, with over 600,000 losing their lives. The parade paid tribute to these tremendous contributions and served to educate younger generations about patriotism and the sacrifices of their predecessors.
The event not only commemorated the past but also demonstrated the strength and readiness of Kazakhstan’s armed forces. The display of modern military equipment and professional formations helped reinforce public confidence in the military’s ability to defend the homeland.
