Party General Secretary and spouse visit Ethno-Aul Cultural Village in Kazakhstan
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, and a high-level Vietnamese delegation visited the Ethno-Aul Cultural Village, a unique destination in Kazakhstan.

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also joined the visit.
At the village, the two leaders toured national historical zones and traditional craft areas, enjoyed music, and experienced nomadic culture, folk games, and hunting customs.
In the nomadic culture zone, President Tokayev invited General Secretary To Lam to take part in a traditional Kazakh ceremony cutting the ankle thread of a one-year-old child, a gesture symbolizing blessings and good fortune for the baby.
Ethno-Aul vividly recreates the lifestyle and culture of the Kazakh nomadic people. Located near the Kazanat racetrack in Astana, the complex spans approximately 2,500 square meters.
It features 30 traditional yurts designed in ancient style, offering visitors an authentic insight into nomadic life.
Ethno-Aul is not only a vibrant display of traditions but also a venue for cultural events. Visitors can take part in music festivals, handicraft fairs, and folk games such as archery, horseback riding, and other traditional sports, as well as local food fairs.
A notable highlight of Ethno-Aul is its blend of tradition and modernity. For example, in 2024, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) set up a dedicated yurt in the village to host educational and recreational activities for children. These included traditional games, hands-on crafts, and interactive sessions aimed at promoting inclusion and protecting children’s rights.
Thanks to its diverse offerings and programs, the village functions as a living museum of culture while also providing a vibrant space for education and entertainment.
