A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), attended the 13th International Seminar on “The Parties and a New Society” in Mexico from March 19-21.

The delegation, led by the Party Central Committee’s External Relations Commission Deputy Head Ta Minh Chau, introduced the implementation of Vietnam’s foreign affairs policies, achievements in the international integration process, and the government’s solutions to stabilise the macro-economy, control inflation, maintain sustainable growth and ensure social security.

The seminar, chaired by the Mexican Labour Party (PT), drew the participation of 171 delegates from 78 parties and international organisations, as well as hundreds of representatives from the PT party.

Participants focused on their discussions on recent changes in the Latin-America region, integration and emigration conditions, teenager and women’s issues, and particularly, the current financial-currency crisis and economic recession, and their impact on the region.

While in Mexico, the delegation was received by Alberto Anaya, Senator and General Secretary of the PT Party. He recalled his impressions of his last visit to Vietnam in 2008, and spoke highly of the Vietnamese Party and people’s achievements in the renovation process.
He also pledged to contribute to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries’ parties and people.
