Many of the reporters are from renowned news agencies such as AP, NHK, Reuters and Xinhua, says Nguyen Phuong Nga, head of the Press and Information Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The reporters will work at the well-equipped International Press Centre located in the National Convention Centre where the summit’s high-level meetings will take place.
The press centre has a large ballroom which can accommodate 200-300 people and is equipped with Internet connected computers, Internet ports for lab tops, printers, land line phones and fax machines. It also has a 50-seat press conference room, with a simultaneous interpretation system. The centre provides a number of well-equipped private workrooms.
The centre is scheduled to open its doors early next week.
The Sub-Committee on Culture and Communications will provide reporters with up-to-date information by issuing press releases in both Vietnamese and English about every event as soon as it ends. Reporters can get in-depth information through press conferences and one-on-one interviews with delegates.
Vietnam is making every effort to leave a fine impression on the international media, said Ms Nga.Bình luận của bạn đang được xem xét
