Both new ordinances will take effect on July 1, 2011. 

Two resolutions on the implementation of the two ordinances approved by the National Assembly Standing Committee were also announced at a press briefing in Hanoi on March 10 by the Presidential Office.

The revised version of the Ordinance on Judges and Jurors of the People’s Courts includes amendments to regulations on the ranks and grades of judges and the appointment and secondment of judges between courts at all levels.

The new ordinance on the Procurators of the People’s Procuracies creates flexibility in appointing and seconding procurators, thus ensuring people’s procuracies at all levels can implement their functions and tasks competently.
