She affirmed this during her meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi on September 30 after taking office in Vietnam.
She stressed that Party General Secretary Manh’s recent visit to New Zealand was a milestone in the two countries’ relations.
PM Dung affirmed that Vietnam will create the best conditions possible for the newly-appointed NZ ambassador to fulfill her mission, as a testament to their deep commitment to boosting friendship and cooperation in all areas between the two countries.
The PM expressed his pleasure at the development of Vietnam-New Zealand relations in all fields, especially after Party General Secretary Manh’s official visit, which elevated the two countries’ ties to that of a “Comprehensive Partnership”.
He asked the Ambassador to work with Vietnamese ministries and agencies to build an action plan to promote bilateral cooperation in science and technology, customs, security, economy, trade, investment, education and training as well as preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
