In his speech, Politburo Member and Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Truong Tan Sang, praised the newspaper’s remarkable achievements over the past few years, as well as the great efforts of its staff in fulfilling all assigned tasks in the Party’s theoretical and cultural front.

Over the past 59 years, Nhan Dan newspaper has performed its role as the voice of the Vietnamese State and people, and as a central agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which has inherited and upheld the glorious tradition of the Vietnam revolutionary press. “The newspaper deserves to be a political and theoretical flag in the Party’s press front and serves as a bridge between the Party, the State and the people to make more contributions to the country’s revolutionary cause,” said Mr Sang.

He called on all newspaper staff to uphold its tradition over the six decades by practising political spirit as well as improving professional skills and the quality of publications to meet the new requirements for national construction and defense.
