Nguyen Tan Dung re-nominated as PM

After taking office as State President on July 25, Mr Truong Tan Sang read a statement nominating Nguyen Tan Dung as the Government’s Prime Minister.

Also in the statement, Nguyen Thi Doan was nominated for State Vice President; Truong Hoa Binh as Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court; and Nguyen Hoa Binh (Secretary of the Quang Ngai provincial Party’s Committee) was nominated as the Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan, Mr Nguyen Tan Dung and Mr Truong Hoa Binh are currently holding the positions for which they were nominated.

The NA is scheduled to meet on July 26 to discuss the plan to officially elect these senior positions.
