New Zealand Parliament Speaker arrives in Hanoi for official visit to Vietnam
VOV.VN - Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives (Parliament) Gerry Brownlee arrived on August 27 in Hanoi, commencing his official visit to Vietnam from August 27 to 31 at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Those welcoming Gerry Brownlee and his delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan, New Zealand Ambassador Caroline Rachel Beresford, and New Zealand Embassy officials and staff in Vietnam.
Speaker Brownlee’s official visit to Vietnam takes place as the two countries mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (June 19, 1975-June 19, 2025).
The visit by Speaker Brownlee is expected to consolidate political trust, deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and promote Vietnam-New Zealand relations in a more substantive and effective manner.
During the visit, he is scheduled to hold talks with NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man and meet with other senior Party and State leaders.
