President Mubarak praised Vietnam for its achievements during its past struggles for independence and during its current process of national construction and development.

He stated that his country has continuously striven to improve its relationship with Vietnam and expressed hope that the ambassador would be successful in promoting and developing ties between the two countries.

Ambassador Tam conveyed the personal best wishes of Vietnamese State President Nguyen Minh Triet to President Mubarak. He also said that Vietnam-Egypt relations will continue to grow stronger and stronger, for the mutual benefit of both nations, as well as for peace, security and prosperity.
