156 out of more than 250 entries have made it through to the final round of the 9th Nationwide Radio Festival held in Hanoi from June 8-10, which demonstrates the enthusiasm of and efforts by radio journalists up and down the country.

This year’s event involved all 63 local radio broadcasters and VOV.

The entries covered a wide range of issues, including the fight against bad practices in society such as corruption. There were five main categories including live broadcasting, reportage, interview, drama, and general affairs.

Many entries used audio and sounds skillfully and received positive feedback from audiences. Interviews also proved effective as they provided audiences with a lot of important information.

The journalists that took part in the competition also got updated on the trends of modern radio broadcasting in the country as 33 of the programmes were presented in the form of live broadcasting.

The festival organizers presented 12 gold prizes, 20 silver, 43 bronze and 66 consolation prizes to radio journalists at the closing ceremony held on June 10 in the presence of To Huy Rua, Head of the Central Commission for Education and Communication, and Vu Van Hien, Director General of Radio the Voice of Vietnam.
