The council also includes 24 senior leaders from the relevant ministries, sectors and agencies and four specialised committees including the committee for economically sustainable development, the committee for socially sustainable development, the committee for sustainable development of natural resources and the environment and the committee for a decade of education for sustainable development.

The council aims to provide the PM with proposals concerning targets, tasks, mechanisms, policies and necessary solutions to ensure the effective implementation of Vietnam’s sustainable development targets.
