There are four ministerial-level agencies, including the Ethnic Minority Committee, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Inspectorate, and the Government Office.

On behalf of the government, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung submitted to the NA a proposal on appointment of deputy prime ministers, ministers and other cabinet members.

The new government has four deputy prime ministers.

The two new candidates nominated by Mr Dung for the position of deputy prime minister are Vu Van Ninh (current finance minister) and Nguyen Van Phuc (current head of the government office). Hoang Trung Hai and Nguyen Thien Nhan were proposed to retain their position as deputy prime minister in the previous government.
