At the meeting, both sides informed each other of the socio-economic, national defence and security and political situations in their respective localities, while expressing their satisfaction at the achievements and effective cooperation they have recorded in recent times.

Udomxay province praised Nam Dinh’s positive and effective assistance in agricultural production, training postgraduates and providing a total investment of VND6 billion to build a culture house located in the centre of Udomxay province.

The two sides agreed to continue promoting future cooperation by conducting annual exchange visits among high-level delegations, performing political tasks and reviewing cooperation efficiency in the agreed areas and issues of mutual concern.

In terms of education and training, Nam Dinh will continue creating the best possible conditions for nine Udomxay students currently learning at Nam Dinh’s universities to finalize their study as scheduled.

In terms of culture and sports, the two provinces will share experiences in organizing upcoming national sports festivals.

They will also discuss ways to build and manage industrial parks, and boost cooperation in drug and crime prevention and control.

Regarding investment cooperation, the two provinces agreed to facilitate their businesses’ implementation of projects in line with their capacity and the two countries’ laws.

To strengthen the ties of friendship and solidarity, both sides will intensify sharing experiences among leaders in guiding the implementation of tasks for socio-economic development, reinforcing national defence and security and building a transparent and powerful political system, thus bringing the Vietnam-Laos relationship to a higher level.
