Thailand’s Nakhon Phanom province pledged to promote cooperation in all fields with Vietnam’s central provinces.

The governor of Nakhon Phanom gave the statement while receiving Vietnam’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary (AEP) to Thailand Ngo Duc Thang during his visit to Thailand’s north-western provinces from January 21-26.

The Nakhon Phanom Governor said the third Friendship Bridge, connecting Nakhon Phanom to Laos, will assist trade and investment promotion to Vietnam’s central localities.

It will create favourable conditions for goods from Thailand’s north-western provinces to reach other countries through Vietnam’s Vung Ang and Chan May ports.

Recently, many schools in Nakhon Phanom have taught Vietnamese for the provincial staff for further cooperation with Vietnam. Staff from central Vietnam also came to study Thai language and culture.

Ngo Duc Thang said he would help to promote a cooperative relationship between Nakhon Phanom and Vietnamese localities.
