Addressing the function, Deputy NA Chairwoman and Secretary of the Party Central Committee Tong Thi Phong stressed that Tuyen Quang was a strong and safe base of the revolutionary government during the resistance war against French colonialists. It was in the province that the NA standing committee worked together with the Government to implement the Party’s political policy, and instruct the entire people in the resistance war.

NA’s Standing Committee was based in Son Duong district’s Trung Yen commune between 1952-1954.
