A National Assembly (NA) delegation led by its Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong will leave Hanoi on April 23 for official visits to Laos and Cambodia.

The visits will be made at the invitation of Lao NA Chairman Thongsing Thamavong and Cambodian NA President Samdec Heng Samrin.


The delegation will include the NA Chairman and his wife, members of the NA Standing Committee, leaders from the NA Commission for External Relations, the NA Office, the NA Council of Ethnic Nationalities, the NA Committee for National Defence and Security, the NA Committee for Economics and Budget and NA deputies from provinces which border Laos and Cambodia such as Kon Tum, An Giang and Binh Phuoc.


The aim of Mr Trong’s visits is to affirm the State’s policy of attaching great importance to strengthening traditional co-operation with neighbouring countries.


Mr Trong will visit Laos from Arpil 23-25 and Cambodia from April 25-28.
