The Vietnamese leader was speaking to the chiefs of delegations to the 42nd meeting of the Executive Board of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Auditing Institutions (ASOSAI) in Hanoi on August 4.
He highlighted the outcomes of the 42nd meeting, naming the adoption of the 2011-2015 strategic plan for ASOSAI, initiatives and solutions to gradually narrow the professional gap and increased coordination among regional auditing agencies and with their counterparts in other regions.
The NA Chairman pointed out that the State Audit of Vietnam was still a fledgling agency and needed to strengthen ties with other counterparts around the world to learn from their profession and experiences in order to improve the professional skills of its staff.
He asked ASOSAI members to continue supporting the State Audit of Vietnam to integrate into the regional audit, accomplish its role in ASOSAI’s Executive Board and host the ASOSAI General Assembly in 2015.
ASOSAI President Tanwir Ali Agha, who is General Auditor of Pakistan, said he was impressed with Vietnam’s recent economic growth and State Audit of Vietnam’s competent preparations for ASOSAI’s 42nd meeting.
He appreciated the Vietnamese State Audit’s contributions to cooperative activities in the field in Asia as a member of ASOSAI Executive Board.
