The State Audit of Vietnam and the Spanish Court of Audit  should increase cooperation and share experiences to improve operational efficiency, says National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong.

While receiving Manuel Nunez Perez, President of the Spanish Court of Audit, in Hanoi on June 28, Mr. Trong noted that the Vietnamese auditing sector remains in its infancy and it needs to learn experiences from developed countries, including Spain

He welcomed a cooperation document signed between the State Audit of Vietnam and the Spanish Court of Audit the same day as a practical step towards realizing high-level agreements reached during Vietnam State President Nguyen Minh Triet’s recent visit to Spain.

The effective implementation of the document will help elevate the two countries’ relationship under the motto the strategic partnership toward the future, said Mr. Trong.

Mr. Trong acknowledged marked progress in the multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Spain, especially in economics, trade, investment, culture, and education, and proposed that both sides promote exchanges for the sake of the development of each nation.

Mr. Perez said the cooperation agreement will help promote mutual assistance and pledged to share his agency’s experiences and cooperation with Vietnam.
