Meeting with visiting Israeli President Shimon Peres in Hanoi on November 24, Mr Hung said the two bodies should also examine the implementation of signed agreements to make sure these agreements are well on the right track.
Mr Hung briefed his guest on Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements and proposed that both countries accelerate negotiations and fully tap each other’s potential for stronger cooperation.
He also urged the two countries to boost cooperation in various areas, especially farm produce processing.
President Peres confirmed that Israel is willing to cooperate with Vietnam in trade, processing and production of goods.
Israel wants to join hands with Vietnam to build a bright future and share a common vision in the new era, he said.
The Israeli President said he hopes to see more visits by leaders of the two legislative bodies, marking a new chapter in their cooperative relations.
President Peres began an official five-day visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang.
