NA Chairman pays Tet visit to VOV

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung has extended his best New Year wishes to all Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) staff in the Year of the Dragon.

During his New Year (Tet) visit to VOV headquarters on January 22, NA Chairman Hung joined a VOV special broadcast programme to welcome Tet through which he conveyed his New Year’s greetings to the people and soldiers on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

VOV General Director Nguyen Dang Tien briefed the NA Chairman of VOV‘s achievements in the past year, saying that VOV is making every effort to increase its operational efficiency with a focus on developing four forms of media coverage: radio, television, print and online.

VOV’s radio coverage has reached 99.5 percent of Vietnam’s territory and VOV has implemented effectively the East Sea broadcasting project approved by the Government. It is improving its video image radio channel (VOVTV) and traffic information channel to meet the audience’s growing demands and contribute to easing urban traffic congestion and ensuring road traffic safety.

On the Lunar New Year Festival, NA Chairman Hung extended his best wishes to all Vietnamese people across the country, as well as those living abroad in the new year of prosperity and greater successes.

He also wished all VOV reporters, editors, and technicians to reap still greater achievements in the new year.
