The visit will contribute to bringing time-honoured cooperative relations between the two countries to a new height, in line with the expectations of the two countries’ leaders and people.

Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Phu Trong, his wife and entourage left Hanoi on April 8 for an official friendship visit to the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of Chairman of the Chinese National People’s Congress (NPC) Wu Bangguo.


The first visit to China by NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong in his capacity as NA Chairman of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam takes place at a time when the cooperative relations between the two Parties, States and people is developing well in the areas of politics, economics, culture and social affairs.
The visit will contribute to bringing time-honoured cooperative relations between the two countries to a new height, in line with the expectations of the two countries’ leaders and people.


During the visit, Mr Trong is expected to have talks with his Chinese counterpart Wu Bangguo and meet with General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and State President Hu Jintao and Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Jia Qinglin as well as visiting a number of Chinese localities.
