These ministers will answer questions relating to the matters of great concern to voters while the PM will elaborate on the efficiency of the first stimulus package, solutions to restructure the national economy, the management of capital from State-owned groups and corporations and the development of hydro-electric power plants.
Other questions about the gold price and the exchange rates of foreign currencies, which have captured a lot of attention from NA deputies will be answered by SBV Governor Nguyen Van Giau. In addition, how to come up with solutions that help businesses and banks to tackle problems in the foreign exchange market and implement a 4 percent-interest rate subsidy stimulus package will also be raised.
The largest numbers of questions go to the Minister of Industry and Trade (29) and the Prime Minister (36). NA deputies will ask the Minster of Industry and Trade to answer questions about the rice export mechanism, hydro-electric power projects and ways of carrying out these projects.
The Director of the NA Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children, Dao Trong Thi, asked the four ministers to try to get the root of the problem so that the NA’s supervisory activities will be improved with greater efficiency.
Tran Dinh Dan, Head of the NA Office said that the NA Chairman and the Prime Minister agreed that all relevant ministries will get involved in the Q and A session and Prime Minister will take a day to reply to all the questions. During the session, ministers will answer questions relating to their own particular fields.
He added that the Prime Minister and ministers will listen to the NA deputies’ questions and answer them directly. If a member of the government does not replied properly, the deputies have the right to question him/her again. According to the Prime Minister and NA Chairman, all members of the government will get involved in the session. If an issue does not belong to the areas of the four ministers, it will directly be transferred to the relevant ministry, which will then get involved in the Q and A session.
The Prime Minister will spend a day answering questions relating to the issues of marco-magnitude, which a ministry cannot reply. PM will discuss and hold talks with the NA deputies. In some cases, he will ask ministers to answer relevant questions. This will make the Q & A session become more and more effective and coherent, as it will fully tap the brainpower of both NA deputies and ministers. When the Q & A session is covered by the mass media, the PM and ministers will ask relevant agencies to work with localities to iron out snags. Thanks to that, the Q and A session will become more effective.
