Mozambique’s Foreign Minister Oldemiro Julio Baloi said he wants to see Vietnam and Mozambique’s economic and trade relations on a par with their political and diplomatic ties.
The Foreign Minister made the statement at a seminar on the two countries’ investment and trade cooperation opportunities in the northern port city of Hai Phong on April 3.
He said the Mozambican government is willing to create the most favourable conditions for foreign investors including those from Vietnam.
Representatives of the Mozambican Trade and Investment Promotion Centre took the occasion to introduce the country’s strengths and its policies on foreign investment encouragement to nearly 100 Vietnamese businesses at the seminar.
The representatives also answered questions related to trade payment methods and the import of agricultural products such as Vietnam’s rice and textile products.
The same day, the Mozambican minister visited Ha Long Bay in northern Quang Ninh province.
