The two nations are fully aware of the value of freedom, both have experienced a period of the subsidy economy and they are now seizing new opportunities for development and embarking on a market economy, said the FM.
He went on to say that HCM City’s experience and achievements have created a source of encouragement to the struggle for poverty reduction in Mozambique.
He briefed Mr Quan on Mozambique’s measures to surmount economic difficulties and seize opportunities, including growing wheat and developing bio-energy.
For his part, Mr Quan assured his guest that the municipal administration will effectively implement agreement signed between the two countries, so as to bring bilateral economic, scientific and technological, cultural and educational cooperation to match their political ties.
He proposed that Mozambique support Vietnam in recognising Vietnam’s full market economy status as well as in bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation forums.
The Mozambican Foreign Minister left Vietnam on April 5, concluding an official five-day visit to Vietnam.
