Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee received Mozambique's FRELIMO ruling party delegation led by Anlindo Chilundo, FRELIMO Party member and director of the FRELIMO Central Party School in Hanoi on November 18.

At the reception, Mr Anlindo Chilundo expressed his delight at visiting Vietnam and conveying best regards from the President of the FRELIMO Party and the Mozambique Republic, Armando Guebura, to Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh as well as to other Party and State leaders.

He highlighted Vietnam’s struggle for national liberation and construction as well as its achievements in the process of Doi Moi (Renewal) and the international integration. Mr Chilundo informed Mr Sang about the FRELIMO Party’s victory in the recent elections and Mozambique’s socio-economic situation.

For his part, Mr Sang spoke highly of the visit by the FRELIMO Party’s delegation to Vietnam, considering it a vivid sign of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two parties, two states and two peoples. He also congratulated important achievements made by the Mozambique people under the leadership of the FRELIMO Party and highlighted the country’s efforts in consolidating peace, political stablity, economic development and reducing poverty.

He expressed his belief that Mozambique will gain greater achievements in national construction and development, affirming that Vietnam has always attached great importance to developing the relationship with Mozambique for the benefit and development of Southeast Asia, Southern Africa and the world.
