Ms. Doan made the statement in Hanoi on November 18 while receiving Nove Holding Group’s President Vassil Bozhkov who is in Vietnam to seek investment opportunities.
She appreciated Mr. Vassil Bozhkov’s return to Vietnam with the aim of stepping up investment projects in the country, especially in such fields as expressway construction, education and training.
Ms. Doan emphasised that Vietnam and Bulgaria have long-established relations but they have not yet met their potential and demand for development.
She said Vietnam has much improved its business environment and wished Bulgarian businesses would increase investment in Vietnam and consider the possibility of using Vietnamese workers in the agricultural sector.
Mr. Bozhkov said Nove Holding Group will soon establish a scholarship fund for Vietnamese students to study in Bulgaria and is ready to sign an official written document on this issue.
He affirmed the need for closer cooperation in education and training and other fields, and praised those Vietnamese graduating from Bulgarian universities for promoting cooperative ties between Vietnam and Bulgaria.
