Ministry of Public Security’s delegation visits Laos
(VOV) - A delegation representing the Ministry of Public Security led by Minister Tran Dai Quang is paying an official visit to Laos on December 21–22.
They held talks with the Lao delegation led by Public Security Minister Thongban Seng Aphon.
The two sides briefed each other on the economic, social, and security situation in each country.
They expressed mutual gratitude for 2012’s effective cooperation and noted the ever deepening relations in various areas between the two ministries.
Vietnam and Laos broadened their law enforcement coordination, especially concerning transnational crime and drug trafficking, defending their respective national sovereignties.
The two ministries also organised many activities to celebrate 2012’s big festivals, particularly the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year.
For 2013, both sides have agreed to increase cooperation on education and training, foster safe societies, and continue regular exchanges at all levels so as to contribute to honouring the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
