President Triet made the request at his visit to Military Zone 7 on December 3 on the occasion of its 65^th anniversary (December 10).

Mr. Triet highlighted Military Zone 7’s development and its contribution to ensuring political security and social order in the region and fighting against hostile forces.

At the working session, Lieutenant General Trieu Xuan Hoa, commander of Military Zone 7, reported to the President on the achievements of the Zone during its 65-year history, emphasizing that it has made great effort to fulfill its political and military mission, contributing to the country’s defense and construction.

Military Zone 7 has aligned socio-economic development with building a strong defense, he said, adding that the Zone has effectively implemented numerous economic-defense projects to help localities upgrade their infrastructure.
