Present at the meeting were former Party Politburo member and former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai; Party Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee Truong Tan Sang; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Vo Van Thuong, representatives from ministries and departments along with 450 exemplary young people and many local people.

Le Thanh Hai, Party Politburo member and Secretary of the HCM City Party’s Committee, reviewed late President Ho Chi Minh’s great journey for national salvation. On June 5, 1911, the late President left the country on the ship, Admiral Latouche Treville under the name Van Ba filled with great patriotism and an iron will to liberate the nation and its people from colonialism and imperialism. His journey is a glorious landmark in the national history and has become very significant for every Vietnamese person. His ideology and moral example will lead Vietnam’s revolution forever and the nation to a brighter future.
