On the afternoon of January 22, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) conducted voting to elect the 14th Party Central Committee. The Congress elected a total of 200 members, comprising 180 full members and 20 alternate members.

The following is the list of 14 Politburo members and Secretariat members of the 13th Party Central Committee who were re-elected to the 14th Party Central Committee:

1.  To Lam – General Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Secretary of the Central Military Commission.

2. Tran Thanh Man – Politburo member; Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee; Chairman of the National Assembly. 

3. Tran Cam Tu – Politburo member; Standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat; Secretary of the Party Organization of the centrally-run agencies.

4. Do Van Chien – Politburo member; Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee; Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

5. Bui Thi Minh Hoai – Politburo member; Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Secretary of the Party Organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central mass organisations; Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

6. Le Minh Hung – Politburo member; Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission.

7. Phan Van Giang – Politburo member; Member of the Standing Board of the Government Party Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission; General; Minister of National Defence.

8. Luong Tam Quang – Politburo member; Member of the Standing Board of the Government Party Committee; Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee; General; Minister of Public Security.

9. Nguyen Trong Nghia – Politburo member; Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Member of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission; General; Director of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army.

10. Nguyen Duy Ngoc – Politburo member; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

11. Trinh Van Quyet – Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation.

12. Le Hoai Trung – Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Member of the Standing Board of the Government Party Committee; Minister of Foreign Affairs.

13. Le Minh Tri – Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Standing Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs.

14. Tran Luu Quang – Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
