Mr Sang, who is also a permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, made the call at a conference in Hanoi on April 18 to review the mplementation of a Secretariat Directive on strengthening the Party’s leadership in popularising and educating the law.
Acknowledging significant progress made in the work, Mr Sang said over the past three years, Party organisations, administrations, fatherland front chapters and mass organisations have actively carried out the work and gained practical experience in their leadership and execution.
However, he said the work has not met the requirements and asked delegates to work out special tasks and solutions to address shortcomings and strengthen the Party’s leadership regarding this work in the coming years.
In his report, Justice Minister Uong Chu Luu underlined the need to perfect the policy and legal systems regarding popularisation and education of the law to meet the requirements of political and ideological affairs in building the law-governed socialist State and ensuring the consistency with legislation, judicial and administrative reform in the country.
He said Party organisations should strengthen their leadership and promote the aggregate strength of the entire society in the work so that all Party guidelines, State laws and policies are widely promulgated among the population.
