State President Nguyen Minh Triet on December 22 sent birthday greetings to Japanese Emperor Akihito on his 76th birth anniversary (December 23), which is also celebrated as the National Day of Japan.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also cabled greetings to Japanese Prime Minister Hatoyama Yukio and Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem also sent greetings to his counterpart Okada Katsuya.
