While visiting the central coastal province of Binh Dinh, General Secretary Trong said he was delighted with the decreasing rate of poor households in the province.

The Party leader also highlighted the province’s achievements in the first year of implementing the 11th National Party Congress Resolution and asked the local authorities and people to fully tap its development potential to build a prosperous Binh Dinh.

He also asked them to care for poor people during the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) to ensure everyone have happy and joyful hoidays.

On the occasion, Mr Trong presented Tet gifts to a number of disadvantaged people throughout the province.

** Also on January 16, Deputy Prime Ministers Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Nguyen Thien Nhan, and Hoang Trung Hai and Party Politburo members Le Hong Anh and Le Thanh Hai, visited the people in Dak Lak, Ca Mau, Nghe An, Quang Tri, and Tra Vinh provinces.

During their visits, Party and State leaders encouraged people to continue strengthening national unity and work together to help reduce poverty.

The official also wished everyone from all walks of life a happy Tet festival and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
