Nearly 200 documents and objects related to the life and cause of late President Ho Chi Minh are on display at an exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi.

The event, co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Party Office and HCM City’s Party Committee, aims to mark 100th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s leaving to seek ways to liberate the country (1911-2011) as well as his 121st birthday.

The exhibition is divided into four sections. The first part reflects the late President Ho Chi Minh’s quest for ways to save the nation in the end of 20th century.

The second section helps visitors understand the factors that ensured the success of the cause of national liberation and construction. It focuses on President Ho Chi Minh’s important role in establishing the Communist Party of Vietnam, and compiling a Declaration of Independence for the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The third section introduces Uncle Ho’s contribution to the nations’ common struggle for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress. It demonstrates his leadership and talent and tactics for dealing with internal and external issues.

The fourth section affirms the Vietnamese Party, State and people’s determination and the country’s major achievements in all fields as well as the national renovation initiated by the Party.
