Laos, Vietnam bolster judicial links
(VOV) -The relationship between the two ministries of justice of Laos and Vietnam has grown considerably over the past years.
Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court Bui Ngoc Hoa on January 29 received a delegation from the Lao Ministry of Justice, headed by Minister Bounkeut Sangsomsak.
Hoa expressed his appreciation for the flourishing relations between the two ministries, prominently demonstrated by numerous agreements signed in recent years and regular exchange visits at all levels to share experience in court management and judicial reform.
Minister Sangsomsak, in turn, said his ministry is setting up a justice academy and wants the Vietnam Supreme People's Court will send officials to assist Laos in professional exchange and personnel training in this field.
The Government of Laos and the Lao Ministry of Justice will do their best to develop the sound relations and judicial cooperation between the two nations, Sangsomsak told his host.
