The event will draw the participation of more than 100 Party and Government officials of both countries, representatives of the Laos-Vietnam Veterans Association and other relevant ministries and agencies.

They will review the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos through the establishment of the resistance committee in the Laos’ north-western region in October 1947 and an historical archive documenting the special ties between the two countries as well as plans for 2010. A get-together will be held for historical witnesses from the two countries on the occasion.

The participants will make a tour of former revolutionary bases in Sainyabuli and Luang Prabang provinces.
