The Lao PM congratulated the northern mountainous province on its socio-economic achievements, with a GDP growth rate of 13.5 percent in the 2006-2009 period.
He also thanked Tuyen Quang authorities and its people for protecting and helping the Lao revolutionaries during the resistance war and preserving Laos’ revolutionary relics in the province.
The PM and his entourage visited the Lao historical revolutionary relic site in Lang Ngoi and Da Ban villages, My Bang commune, Yen Son district where the national congress of the Lao Patriotic Front took place in August 1950.
These are places where the former General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Kaysone Phomvihane, and Crown Prince Suphanouvong, President of the Lao Resistance Government, used to live to lead the revolutionary movements of Laos.
PM Bouphavanh said he hoped that Vietnam-Laos relations would further develop and become a manifestation of national and international solidarity.
