•  Lao President visits Hoa Tho Garment Corporation

In an interview granted to a Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reporter, Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith said Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone’s visit to Vietnam was successful as the two countries reached a high consensus on future measures to implement their signed agreements to bring the ties of friendship and special solidarity to a higher level.

Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, Hoang Binh Quan, said the two Parties and States agreed upon a ten-year cooperation strategy for 2010-2020 and the two countries are taking practical measures to implement the strategy effectively.

Mr Sayasone’s visit represented a significant landmark in strengthening the Laos-Vietnam relationship, Mr Quan noted.
