In its editorial, Passason newspaper, the official organ of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee, said the Lao people, especially the National Assembly of Laos, are warmly welcoming the Vietnamese NA Chairman and his entourage.

The paper reviewed the mutual assistance between the armies and people of Laos and Vietnam in their past struggle for national liberation as well as in the current national construction and defence.

It stressed that the Lao National Assembly has over the past 30 years received assistance and cooperation in the fields of law-building and supervision, construction of information centre, exchange of experiences and coordination at regional and international forums and conferences from its Vietnamese counterpart.

The paper also praised the fine development of relations between the two countries in general and the two legislative bodies in particular over the past time.
