The Lao NA President made the remark at a reception for Nguyen Ngoc Tran, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs and Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie (APF), in Vientiane on May 15.

President Thongsing spoke highly of Mr Tran’s working visit to Laos saying the visit will contribute to further strengthening cooperation between the two national assemblies of Laos and Vietnam.

During the visit, which runs from May 13-19, Vice Chairman Tran is scheduled to work with Laos’ parliamentary delegations of Luang Prabang, Savannakhet and Champasak provinces.
