At the reception, Lieut. Gen. Cuong, Vice Director of the General Politics Department of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), reviewed the effective cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the fields of national defence and in party and political work. He said he believes the visit will contribute to strengthening the long-lasting traditional friendship between the two people and armies.

The General expressed the Vietnamese army and people’s gratefulness for the valuable sentiments of the Lao Party, State and people for Vietnam during the wartime and in the present national construction and defence.

Subun Hunnachampa said the visit is a good chance for the Lao delegation to share experience in military training, army logistics and party and political work with agencies of VPA.

On the same day, the delegation also met with Sen. Lieut. Gen Do Ba Ty, Party Politburo Member and Chief of the General Staff of VPA and visited Hanoi High Command.
