Lao President Chummaly Sayasone and Prime Minister Thongsinh Thammavong received a Vietnamese National Assembly delegation headed by NA Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong in Vientiane on December 1.
Ms Phong thanked the Lao Party for their warm welcome and conveyed congratulations on Laos’ 36th National Day from the Vietnamese Party and State leaders.
She briefed her hosts on Vietnam’s socio-economic growth and active preparation for Vietnam-Lao Relations Year 2012.
The NA Vice Chairwoman also affirmed that Vietnam will do its utmost to foster the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
The Lao leaders emphasized that the two National Assemblies need to coordinate closely for the benefit of development cooperation between the two countries.
