The Lao president said that the Laos-Vietnam special friendship, solidarity and cooperation which were fostered by the leaders and people of the two countries have been constantly developed.

Laos and Vietnam will continue to assist each other in economic development, said President Sayasone.

He expressed his hope that in the new capacity, ambassador Chau will make an active contribution to strengthening ties between Laos and Vietnam.  

Ambassador Chau praised Laos’ achievements in recent times and affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam will do their utmost to cement special bonds with Laos.

He said that Vietnamese leaders are looking forward to receiving President Choummaly Sayasone in Hanoi very soon.
