The Special Working Boards of the Lao and Vietnamese Governments should boost cooperation to fulfil tasks entrusted to them by the two Parties and States, says Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavath Lengsavath.
While receiving the Vietnamese Special Working Board in Vientiane on December 29, Mr Lengsavath said the two boards should continue to instruct localities to strengthen cooperation in detecting, searching and repatriating remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts who died during the war in Laos.
The Vietnamese board said it will ask the Vietnamese Government to reward Lao individuals and organisations for their achievements in searching and collecting remains of Vietnamese soldiers in Laos and consider financial assistance to the Lao Special Working Board.
The Vietnamese delegation has been in Vientiane for the 11th conference between the two countries’ working boards.
