The article, entitled ‘The 60-year growth and development of the Vietnam Journalists Association’, wrote that over the years, the VJA has made many great achievements, which have contributed to the liberation, construction and development of Vietnam.

In the development of Vietnam’s media, the VJA also played an important role, using their ‘pens’ as weapons and has always been a driving force behind national construction and defence in every period. VJA membership has constantly grown, both in number and quality.

The article highlighted the operations and the achievements of Vietnam’s press, stressing that the establishment of the VJA on April 21, 1950, was an important milestone in the Vietnamese people’s history of struggle.

Since the establishment of the VJA, it said, the Vietnamese press has strengthened the national liberation revolutionary movements in the past as well as the cause of national construction and defence at present.
