Addressing the working session, Mr Triet highlighted the great efforts made by the sector, contributing to reducing the rate of unjust punishments from 2009 to date. The justice sector’s staff and infrastructure should be consolidated to meet the required tasks in future. He also pointed out some shortcomings, such as the lack of qualified staff and management.

Mr Triet stated that the justice sector has played a very important role in society. The leading task is to build a transparent and strong sector with a focus on improving the qualifications of the sector’s staff.

Also, the sector should have a plan to train its staff, actively implement judicial reform and speed up legal proceedings to ensure fair and subjective verdicts.
