Mr Khiem praised Sakai city’s positive cooperation with Vietnam and thanked the city administration for supporting the activities of Vietnam’s Consulate General in Sakai.

For his part, Mr Takeyama said he hoped to boost cooperation between Sakai and other Vietnamese localities in the near future, particularly in investment, culture and education.

Vietnam and Japan have many cultural similarities that provide a foundation for both countries to promote mutual understanding and bilateral relationship, Mr Takeyama noted.
