Japanese businesses have made great contributions to the socio-economic development of Vinh Phuc province, affirmed Pham Van Vong, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

At a working session with Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yasuaki Tanizaki on June 16, Vong expressed hope that Japanese businesses will further cooperate and invest in Vinh Phuc in all fields, creating momentum for the province’s comprehensive development.

He expressed thanks to Japan for its past contributions and multifaceted assistance to Vinh Phuc province through a series of projects.

While expressing sympathy with the Japanese Ambassador over the great losses caused by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, the provincial Party chief said he believes that the Japanese government and people, with their steadfast will and great efforts, will soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters and rebuild the economy.

He also spoke about the province’s socio-economic development situation, with active contributions by businesses operating in the locality, especially those from Japan, including Honda, Toyota and Nissin.
